JELET Previous Year Question Paper PDF Download

ELET stands for “Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry” and is a test conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admission to the second year (third semester) of undergraduate engineering courses in the state of West Bengal, India. The test is for students who have completed a diploma in engineering or technology and wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the same field. The test consists of multiple-choice questions and covers subjects such as mathematics, physics, Fundamental Electrical & Electronics and chemistry. The test results are used to determine eligibility for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at participating institutions in West Bengal.

If you Complete Diploma or Final Year Students and any state of India then applicable for this Entrance Exam , and If good score in this exam then you can direct admission B.Tech 2Nd Year (3rd Semester) of Best Bengal.

Applicants has to pay Rs.500/- for General candidates and Rs 400 (Rupees four hundred only) for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates, plus the Bank’s service charges as applicable.

  • Paper II for Diploma in Pharmacy candidates will have 100 questions in a category-1
  • All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for the paper is 2 hours. The questions will be in English language only.

⦁ At the time of online application, candidates will select his/her qualifying examination among:
⦁ Diploma in Engineering/Technology
⦁ Diploma in Pharmacy
⦁ B.Sc.
⦁ There will be two separate papers namely,
⦁ Paper-I for Diploma in Engineering/Technology OR B.Sc. candidates.
⦁ Paper-II for Diploma in Pharmacy candidates.

Marking Scheme

The WBJEE JELET Exam has two separate papers namely, paper-I for Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or B.Sc. candidates and paper II for Diploma in Pharmacy candidates

  • The WBJEE JELET Exam is an offline Exam.
  • Every correct answer gets 1 mark.
  • For every wrong answer, a 1/4th mark is deducted.
  • For a combination of answers even if the correct answer is marked 1/4th mark will be deducted.
  • Not attempting the question will get 0 marks.
  • If one or more options are correct, marking all the correct answers will yield 2 marks.
  • For a combination of answers with correct and wrong options, it will be considered wrong and 0 marks will be given.
  • When only all correct options are marked and no incorrect options are marked 2 marks will be given.

Eligibility criteria for application of JELET 2023


⦁ Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
⦁ Age Restriction:
⦁ There is no upper age limit for Diploma holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy.
⦁ For B. Sc. Candidates, the upper age limit is 27 (twenty-seven) years as on 31.12.2023.
⦁ For Diploma holders in marine Engineering, the upper age limit
is 25 (twenty-five) years as on 31.12.2023
