We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our Enterprise Software team. This team operates like a high-growth startup, backed by the strength and stability of Zebra Technologies. If you enjoy solving problems, building automation, and working with modern technologies, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain software testing solutions for enterprise platforms and services
- Contribute across all phases of the software engineering and testing lifecycle
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Design and maintain automation frameworks with minimal manual intervention
- Perform end-to-end testing of data ingestion, pipelines, transformations, and validation processes
- Execute data quality testing and validate results using database queries
- Analyze test results, identify defects, determine root causes, and recommend solutions
- Review and improve existing test designs, automation scripts, and documentation
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment through automated testing
- Stay updated with new tools, technologies, and testing approaches
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework and Selenium
- Strong understanding of test strategies, test plans, and test artifacts
- Ability to review data models, data mappings, and architectural documents to create effective system integration test cases
- Experience troubleshooting test failures and logging defects
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Java preferred)
- Experience writing SQL queries for data validation and comparison
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, including Jenkins
- Exposure to monitoring tools and custom alerting systems
- Interest in advanced testing approaches such as genetic algorithm-based test generation
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
