Process to take Admission BCECE LE 2025
Step 1:- First, you need a result card (Rank Card), because many students have failed in the English subject, and as a result, their results do not come in, and they are unable to take admission in college.
Step 2:- If you score under 100 rank in the BCECE Lateral Entry exam, you become eligible for admission into top government engineering colleges in Bihar, including:
🏛️ MIT Muzaffarpur
🏛️ Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE Bhagalpur)
🏛️ Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE Patna)
🏛️ Darbhanga College of Engineering,
🏛️ Nalanda College of Engineering more.
These institutions are considered the best choices for lateral entry students due to their quality education, experienced faculty, and strong academic environment. The teachers here are well-qualified and focus on conceptual teaching as well as practical learning.
They not only help students build a strong foundation in core engineering subjects but also guide them for GATE, placements, and higher studies. Moreover, these colleges offer career support, internships, labs, and opportunities to participate in technical fests, hackathons, and national-level competitions.
As a student of Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi, I am proud to be part of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department. One of the key strengths of this department is our Head of Department (HOD), whose teaching style is highly effective and student-focused. And all teachers are good at teaching the subjects.
Step 3: During the BCECE Lateral Entry counselling, you will be asked to choose your B.Tech branch, and this step is very important. It is recommended to choose the same or a related branch you studied in your diploma course. This helps you transition smoothly into the second year of B.Tech, where the subjects become more detailed and concept-based.
If you’ve studied your diploma subjects properly, you will find it much easier to understand the advanced concepts in B.Tech. For example:
A diploma student from Computer Science can confidently continue in B.Tech CSE.
- So your Branch is first priority, then second priority is college.
Step 4: Once you’ve completed the BCECE Lateral Entry counselling, you will receive your college allotment details either through email or by checking the official BCECE website. It’s important to visit the allotted college within the given time to confirm your admission.

Note
If any document is missing at the time of admission, you can still take admission without any problem. You simply need to write an application explaining the missing document to the admission office. However, you must submit the pending document within one month to complete your admission process.
So, don’t panic, just make sure to arrange your documents as soon as possible after joining.
