About R&DE(E), DRDO
R&DE(E) is one of DRDO’s premier laboratories working in advanced defence technologies and engineering systems for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The laboratory is involved in research, design, development, testing, qualification, evaluation, and technology transfer activities.
DRDO Internship 2026 Vacancy Details
A total of 40 internship positions are available for engineering students in different branches.

Internship Duration

Note: PG students will receive stipend only for the first 6 months.
Monthly Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of:
- ₹5,000 per month
- Total ₹30,000 for 6 months
- Paid in two installments of ₹15,000 each
The first installment will be released after 3 months, and the second after completion of 6 months of internship.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
Educational Qualification
- Students pursuing:
- 7th or 8th semester of B.E./B.Tech
- 2nd year of M.E./M.Tech
- Must be enrolled in a full-time course from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
Academic Requirement
- Minimum:
- 75% marks, OR
- 7.5 CGPA on a scale of 10
- CGPA should be cumulative of all semesters.
- Applications based only on SGPA will be rejected.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based entirely on merit. Students with strong academic records and recommendation letters from their college Principal/Director will get preference.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email regarding further joining procedures.

- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college
- Police verification acknowledgement
- Aadhaar Card
- College ID Card
- Passport size photographs
- Previous semester mark sheets
